Odell Walker Jr aka OJ The King is a 23-year-old MC from Saginaw, Michigan. He has only been rapping since 2009, but sounds like a seasoned veteran and performs like he is ready for stadiums. Music runs in his family’s blood. Both of his parents were DJ’s and music enthusiasts and his uncle was a Pip of Gladys Knights and the Pips. OJ wears many hats including rapper, musician, singer, and fashion designer. His debut mixtape Superstar Status moved over 5,000 plus by hand, and 5,000 plus downloads online. OJ was the 2010 Review Magazine award winner for best performance. He is undeniably one of the best all around talents in the local game. He has shared the stage with national acts such as Wiz Khalifa, Webbie, Travis Porter, Rasheeda and Diamond from Crime Mob, Lil Boosie, Fantasia, DJ Khaled, Webbie, Starlito, Big Sean, DJ Khalid, Robin Thicke, Lil Scrappy, and Young Dro. He also performs with a live band called Michael Pruitt & the band. Whether rocking crowds with his band mates or spitting dolo, O never leaves the stage without a standing O. He has Performed across the entire state of Michigan as well as Dallas, LA, Chicago, and Indianapolis. Currently he is working on his next project titled “Journey Of A King” along with videos to accompany the tracks. OJ is also helping with the creation of a clothing line with his fellow HMC members scheduled to drop in the summer of 2012. “I feel that I’ve changed tremendously over the past years. My style has become more lyrical and I put more of my soul into the music”.
